Oxaliplatin is used with other medications to treat advanced colon or rectal cancer (cancer that begins in the large intestine). Oxaliplatin is also used with other medications to prevent colon cancer from spreading in people who have had surgery to remove the tumor.

Oxplatin 100 mg Injection contains Oxaliplatin, a platinum-based chemotherapy drug used primarily in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer.
Oxaliplatin works by forming platinum-DNA adducts, which interfere with DNA replication and transcription, ultimately causing cancer cell death.

It is administered intravenously (IV), usually in combination with other chemotherapy agents such as 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) and Leucovorin, as part of regimens like FOLFOX.

Oxaliplatin 100mg Infusion is used in the treatment of cancer of colon and rectum. It shows its working by stopping or slowing down the growth of cancer cells.

Oxaliplatin 100mg Infusion is given as an injection into vein by a qualified medical professional.  Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.

Nausea, fatigue, vomiting, and diarrhea are some common side effects of this medicine. This medicine may reduce the number of blood cells (decrease red blood and white blood cells) in your blood, thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections. It may cause some serious allergic reaction, inform your doctor if you notice sore lips or mouth ulcers, rash, itching and difficulty breathing. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with heart, liver, and blood uric acid levels.

Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, liver, or kidney problems or are taking any medicines to treat infections. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your healthcare team know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. It makes men infertile, hence men should take doctor advice about the freezing of sperm before the treatment. You must avoid driving after taking this medicine as it may cause dizziness.

Oxazer 100 mg Injection contains Oxaliplatin, a third-generation platinum compound used primarily in the treatment of colorectal cancer. It is supplied as a sterile lyophilized powder for intravenous infusion. Oxaliplatin is often combined with 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) and Leucovorin in regimens like FOLFOX.
