Promicef Tazo 562.5mg Injection is a combination of Ceftriaxone and Tazobactam used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, abdominal infections, and septicemia. Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis, while Tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances Ceftriaxone’s effectiveness by preventing bacterial resistance. This injection is administered intravenously or intramuscularly under medical supervision. Dosage depends on the severity of the infection and the patient's condition. Promicef Tazo helps control severe infections when single-agent therapy may be insufficient. Regular monitoring may be required.

Intacef Tazo PET injection combination of Ceftriaxone and tazobactam i.e. betalactamase inhibitor (antibiotic of third generation cephalosporin group) which has Gram -ive and Gram +ive activities both. Ceftriaxone crosses placental barrier and blood brain carrier, ceftriaxone level is much higher in CSF in case of meningitis. Tazobactum is effective in case of B-lactamase resistant bacterial infections
